Roland Fidezius lives in Berlin, Germany, as a bassplayer (Acoustic and Electric) and composer.
As a bandleader he recorded and produced the CD "Oscar & Emma" with his band ODD SHOT. The CD was released in 2005 on the Berlin label Konnex-Records.

2005 He received a scholarship from the city of Berlin to live and study in New York for two months.
2006 He received a grant from the city of Berlin to record a CD with the band "Die Dreckigen Drei", which was released in February 2007 on phonector.

2013 He tours extnesively through Canada with the band Gorilla Mask, supported by the Canadian Arts Council and the Goethe-Institut.

Roland Fidezius studied Jazz-Bass from 1997 till 2003 at the university of the arts (Udk), Berlin. His Teachers were Sigi Busch, David Friedmann, Jerry Granelli, Kirk Nurock, Denny Goodhew, Peter Weniger, Till Brönner und Frank Möbus.
He took part in Workshops (e.g. Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music, 2004) and had lessons with Scott Colley, Mark Helias, James Genus, Detlev Beier,Dieter Ilg, Reggie Washinton, Matthew Garrison, Dave Douglas, Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, Joey Baron, Han Bennink, Jay Clayton, Maria Schneider, Michael Gibbs and Frank Gratkowski.
As an electric and double bass player he worked with musicians like David Roach (Michael Nyman-Band), Don Pi (Gilberto Gil), Richard Howell, Topo Gioia, Matthias Schubert, Tom Arthurs, Peter van Huffel, he toured with the Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra and in this context he participated in a project with the Staatsorchester Frankfurt/Oder.
